1. Parties and acceptance
These Terms govern access to Matter of Proof between Matter of Proof, LLC and the customer organization. A person accepting these Terms represents that they are authorized to act for that organization.
2. The service
Matter of Proof collects and correlates security telemetry into Investigation Matters, supports confidence scoring, and drafts investigation summaries, response recommendations, and briefs.
3. Authorized use
Customers may use Matter of Proof only for legitimate security operations involving systems and data they are authorized to monitor. Customers are responsible for their accounts, connected integrations, and analyst decisions.
4. AI and human review
AI may collect, correlate, summarize, score confidence, and draft; every matter receives human review; AI cannot close critical matters alone.
5. Fees
Plans and prices are stated on the pricing page or the applicable order form. Payments are processed by Stripe. Other commercial terms are defined in the applicable order form.
6. Confidentiality and data
Each party will protect the other party's confidential information with reasonable care. Customer data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. A standard Data Processing Agreement is available upon request through contact.
7. Security
Encryption — AES-256 at rest; TLS 1.3 in transit. Tenant isolation — logical isolation through TenantID partitioning at the database level. Data residency — maintained within the applicable regional AWS boundary.
8. Intellectual property
Matter of Proof retains its rights in the platform. Customers retain their rights in customer data and authorize its processing only to provide the service.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
